The Shul on the Internet has partnered with the Dovid Oved Retreat Center in Running Springs, California to provide opportunities for leadership, community building, educational, and networking retreats. Minutes from Big Bear ski resorts, accommodations at the retreat center range from excellent to luxurious, and on-site kosher catering makes certain that guests are treated to culinary delights.

The Dovid Oved Retreat Center was born out of a vision of bringing a kosher camp and retreat center to the Jewish Community of Southern California. Operated by Bnei Akiva of Los Angeles, the Dovid Oved Retreat Center is home to Bnei Akiva of Los Angeles’ Moshava summer camp as well as weekend retreats, Winter Camp, and holiday programs throughout the year.

Retreats all feature original and creative programing but there’s plenty more to do at the Dovid Oved Retreat Center. On campus activities and facilities include, heated pool, challenging ropes course and zip line, basketball and tennis courts, gardening, fire pit, soccer and football fields, and indoor lounge areas. Within minutes of the campus, off site activities include, skiing, boating, fishing, golf, hiking, and more.

The center offers 30 deluxe rooms, each with en-suite bathrooms. Overlooking the San Bernardino Valley, our hotel-style guest rooms are beautifully appointed charming and rustic residences that feel like home from the moment you enter. Additionally, 36 cabin-style rooms with private entrances, new carpeting, bathrooms and showers in every cabin, can sleep 6-10 guests in deluxe bunk beds.

We hope to host retreats at the Dovid Oved Retreat Center regularly. Each retreat will be crafted to meet the needs of the community of people who will be attending the retreat. No two retreats are the same.
